2012 Club Calendar:
Ted Lasher has created a Capital City Corvette Club calendar for 2012. The cost is only $15 with the net proceeds going to the John Bechtel Memorial Scholarship Fund. This scholarship was set up in the memory of John Bechtel and is given to an automotive student at the Capital Area Career Center each May. Contact Ted Lasher to see if he has any copies remaining.
Honorary Club Members:
Capital City Corvette Club extends a warm welcome to our two new honorary club members. Jim Hoppin was the first club president of CCCC and was instrumental in starting NCCC. Lee MacGillivray, was CCCC's first club sponsor and hosted many events at his dealership. Both gentlemen received a membership packet including a membership card, club calendar and CD of 2009 club events.
CCCC Sponsor:
Bud Kouts Chevrolet is the official sponsor of Capital City Corvette Club and is one of the area's finest Chevrolet dealers. Be sure to call Dick or Pat Iding at 517.374.0900 when looking for your next new or used vehicle! They are pleased to offer their assistance to all members that don't have an established relationship with another Bud Kouts sales consultant.
Stop by and check out their new showroom at 2801 E. Michigan Ave. They have a few new Corvettes on display. Sue Keith is currently working with Dick to have a showcase with a bit of CCCC's history displayed at the dealership. We will be hearing more about that in the near future.
Joe Thomas Named Master Ambassador:
Each Labor Day weekend, during the Anniversary Celebration at the National Corvette Museum,
the "Master Ambassador" status is awarded to those Ambassadors
who accrue 200 or more points during the previous year (July-June).
Capital City Corvette Club's NCM Ambassador, Joe Thomas, is one of those honored with the title of Master Ambassador. Way to go Joe!
