BINGO at Tamarack.
CCCC members had a fun day at Tamarack Apartments on November 15. Randy Putmon did a great job as our BINGO caller for the day with other members reading the winners cards and serving up dessert during a break from the action.
Our members brought a large variety of items to give as BINGO prizes. When all was said and done, every resident that played won 1 to 3 prizes and everyone appeared to have a great time.
At the end of the event, John was presented with a thank you card to the club from all of the residents. Look for more pictures on our Picture Pages.
CCCC's 50th Anniversary!
On July 26, 2008 Capital City Corvette Club held our 50th anniversary celebration at Bud Kout's Chevrolet. Approximately 90 Corvettes (and their owners) turned out to to help us celebrate! We were honored to have the club's original sponsor, Lee MacGillivray with us. Steve Spinrad and his daughter Tammy also joined us. Steve has been a member of the club since 1958!
After the display of Corvettes we received a police escort for the drive from Bud Kouts to the State Capitol building. Be sure to check out our picture page! We have lots of event photos posted and a video of the parade as well.
Special thanks go out to Jennifer Putmon for designing our celebration logo! This logo will be used throughout the year and was featured on our commemorative T-Shirt. If you ordered a T-Shirt be sure to contact Colleen to pick it up.

Colin J. Nethaway Scholarship:
The two $250 scholarships that CCCC provides to students from the Capital Area Career Center have been named in the memory of Colin J. Nethaway, a student from the center. The 2008 scholarships recipients were Michael Sutton of Williamston and Preston Serre of Holt. This year Colin's parents provided an additional $500 to the Colin J. Nethaway Scholarship so both students received $500 scholarships. Click here to read a note from Colin's parents.
NCCC Scholarship Program:
This program has been in existence since 1990 and is funded through donations from Clubs, individuals and corporate friends such as Mid America Motorworks. The NCCC Scholarship Committee awards $1,000.00 scholarships to worthy young people who have some connection with NCCC through a father, mother, grandfather, grandmother, etc., who has been a member of NCCC for at least three years. "Some connection" implies that the applicant's relatives should have knowledge of the various requirements of the Scholarship Program. Be sure to plan ahead for next year.
