Capital City Corvette Club was established in 1958 and celebrated our 50th anniversary in 2008. CCCC was one of the original six clubs that chartered the National Council of Corvette Clubs in 1959. NCCC's 50th anniversary celebration took place during the national convention in Colorado Springs, CO during the week of August 8-14, 2009.
In the early days, the number of clubs was rather small with all being located east of the Mississippi. Today, there are about 275 Clubs in 16 Regions both East and West of the Mississippi! The membership in NCCC is comprised of more than 17,500 Members and is the largest non-profit, all volunteer Corvette organization in the United States! CCCC is one of the 15 Corvette clubs that make up the Michigan Region of NCCC.
The purpose of CCCC and NCCC is to promote interest in Corvette ownership and operation, to publish information on the use and operation of the Corvette, and to establish an organized effort to encourage others to participate in the enjoyment connected with the use of the Corvette!
Capital City Corvette Club follows an approved set of By-Laws, which includes our full purpose statement.

Club Activities and Community Involvement:
Member Activities: CCCC is involved in an array of activities designed to promote fellowship among members including breakfasts, drive and dines, bowling, and road trips. You will also have the opportunity to participate in car shows and concourses, autocross and drag racing, road rallyes, and parades that allow you to earn points at local, regional, and national levels. Our club also receives points when our members participate in NCCC sanctioned events!
Community Involvement: Throughout the year we participate in a variety of fund raising activities that allow us to make donations to several worthwhile causes.
Each spring CCCC provides two automotive scholarships to students of the Capital Area Career Center. The winners of the 2013 scholarships were Hector Rios Rosas and Kevin Hutton:
Read a little more about some of CCCC's recent scholarship recipients, along with the background of how these scholarships came about.
CCCC members also join with the Capital Area Muscle Car Club each year to put on three major car shows in the Lansing area. In May and September we work with them to raise funds for Sparrow Hospice. In September CAMCC works with us on Horsepower at the Zoo to raise funds for Potter Park Zoo.
In November our members host a BINGO party and ice cream social for a group of lively senior citizens at Tamarack Apartments in Holt. We wrap up each year by donating to three local charities. During the last few years we have chosen the Greater Lansing Food Bank, VFW National Home for Children, and the St. Vincent Home for Children as recipients for our holiday giving.
As you can see, we are involved in a variety of activities, all designed to have fun with our cars and fellow club members. Please come to a meeting or contact any of our club officers if you are interested in learning more about our club events, NCCC convention, or in NCCC as a whole. New members are always welcome.
